Dixons Reviews
Dixons specialises in electrical appliances, and is part of the DSG International plc group which includes PC World and the UK’s largest electrical retailer Currys. Dixons started life as a photographic store during the 1930s. After WW2 Dixons diversified into the electrical appliances market due to decreased demand for photographic portraits.
Dixons is part of the DSG International group which also owns famous brand retailers Currys and PC World. You would think that belonging to a company as large as DSG International would make Dixons insensitive to their customers’ needs, but the company places a high priority on customer satisfaction and offers some great services in-store and on their website.
Dixons retail a wide range of computers, TVs and other devices such as Sat Navs and digital cameras. They also sell a large selection of washing machines, cookers and refrigerators among other household appliances, and Dixons have many special offers on high quality electrical goods they may not be available with smaller retailers. Dixons operates a Price Match Promise, whereby they search thousands of prices on a weekly basis among their main competitors such as Comet, Argos and Tesco, and if they find a lower price they will lower theirs. If you find a lower price that they may have missed they will lower their price to match. Dixons even has its own Facebook page where fans are routinely offered exclusive promotional deals for their loyalty.
Dixons offer to deliver ordered products right to your door with a standard delivery rate. Larger items may incur a higher delivery cost, but you can choose the delivery time to within 4 hours for convenience. Small items are sent by courier and Dixons aim to deliver all items within a few days of order. Dixons’ even offer to fit your new appliance and dispose of your old one by recycling, for a nominal charge.
